Statement
I am passionate about sound and its ability to move, impact and communicate. Music is clearly one of the many ways to organize sound and for over 25 years I have discovered that technology offers me amazing ways to explore sound and make music of various kinds (soundscapea, electroacoustic, instrumental, acousmatic, visual and many others). I like anything that offers the opportunity to listen deeply. As a creator I currently focus on exploring ways in which technology can coexist with acoustic music of any kind in an organic, complementary way and collaborate with performers and artists interested in exploring and taking risks. As an educator I find the constant conversation about creative processes a source of inspiration and closeness with others. Playing live, I discover how music works and understand better how to explain it in order to listen to how others explain it. It is then the deep sound of the timbre, the space and the human being behind it that attracts me to make music and sound. I am interested in writing and researching, but also in understanding from a cultural management perspective, the social value of music and the impact it can have.
Between 2023 and 2025 I intend to create a series of mixed works with diverse technologies that explore the potential of space and the rhythmic interaction between technological elements and recognizable sound sources. The pulse as a unifying element in a current discourse can certainly be central to an engaging sound discourse.
